Algivet acts as an antipyretic and analgesic through a central action, effectively controlling fever and mild pain. It can be combined with other analgesics in multimodal pain management protocols. Additionally, it has a spasmolytic effect, meaning it promotes smooth muscle relaxation, and can be used effectively in the treatment of spasmodic pain in the gastrointestinal system, such as in cases of colic in horses.

INDICATION

Indicated as an analgesic and antipyretic in horses for the treatment of pain and fever control. Due to its spasmolytic action, it can also be indicated for pain relief in cases of colic.

HOW TO USE

For intravenous or intramuscular use in horses.

Dosage: 25 to 50 mg/kg of body weight, or 5 to 10 ml per 100 kg of body weight, every 8 hours, for a maximum of 5 days.
