Meloxinew® Comprimido is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory with preferential activity in inhibiting cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), indicated for dogs and cats in the treatment of acute and chronic inflammation and pain in cases involving soft or musculoskeletal tissues. It is also indicated for postoperative pain and inflammation control.
The main mechanism of action of Meloxinew® Comprimido is the preferential inhibition of the Cycloxygenase 2 (COX-2) enzyme and consequently the capacity to block the biosynthesis of prostaglandins, which mediate the inflammatory process.
The preferential action on COX-2 minimizes side effects on the gastric mucosa of dogs and cats, which provides greater safety of use associated with efficacy of its antiinflammatory action.
Product indicated for dogs and cats, in the dose of 0,1 to 0,2 mg/kg, orally.

• Cartridges containing 1 blister pack with 10 tablets or displays containing 12 blisters packs with 10 tablets of 100 mg (0,5 mg of meloxicam);
• Cartridges containing 1 blister pack with 10 tablets or displays containing 12 blisters packs with 10 tablets of 200 mg (1 mg of meloxicam);
• Cartridges containing 1 blister pack with 10 tablets or displays containing 12 blisters packs with 10 tablets of 400 mg (2 mg of meloxicam);
• Cartridges containing 1 blister pack with 10 tablets of 800 mg (4 mg of meloxicam).
