Mucomucil® Xarope fluidizes the secretions and favors expectoration. N-Acetylcysteine, due to its capacity to qualitatively and quantitatively change the characteristics of the secretions, significantly influences the evolution and resolution of broncho pneumopathies, reducing the risks of complications during the retention of secretion and consequently insufficiency in the aeration of the lungs.
The “oxidant sweeper” activity is performed directly and indirectly through the maintenance and/or increase in the levels of glutathione, of which N-Acetylcysteine is a precursor.

INDICATION

Indicated for equidae. Mucomucil® Xarope is a mucolytic, indicated for animals with respiratory pathologies characterized by the presence of mucoid and mucopurulent secretions (catarrh), like bronchopneumonia, bronchitis (acute, sub-acute and chronic), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), influenza, croup, atelectasis by mucus obstruction, among others. It is also indicated as a coadjuvant in antibiotic therapies of lung diseases.

MODE OF USE

For oral use.
Equines, mules and donkeys: basic dose of N-Acetylcysteine: 5-10 mg/Kg of body weight, twice a day. This dose can be represented as 0,05 mL/Kg of body weight, twice a day. Treatment duration depends on the factors related to the pathology, and it may vary from 5 to 15 days. The doses can be changed according to the veterinary doctor’s instruction.
Note: Each doser of the presentations of 500 mL contains 4,0 mL.
