For preventing and treating pain from colic and other spastic states of organs in the abdominal cavity, acute and chronic arthritis, and rheumatic states of muscles and joints, neuritis and neuralgia, in the esophageal-pharyngeal obstructions by foreign bodies, in cervical spasms during labor, in acute dilatation of the stomach and in gastritis among domestic animals to prevent vomiting.
Algivet® has a central analgesic action and a spasmolytic effect on smooth muscle. Algivet® exerts no unfavorable action on blood circulation, the heart, kidneys or any other organ. Its effect is observed after 10-15 minutes, lasting for a few hours. In the event of animals showing signs of pain and discomfort, the treatment may be repeated without inconvenience.
• Dogs and cats: 0,5 to 2 mL
The informed doses may be used intravenously or intramuscularly. Intravenous and intramuscular routes may be used concomitantly. For quicker effects, intravenous use is preferable. The applications can be repeated on the same day, immediately after the analgesic effect, without inconvenience. Subcutaneous application is not recommended due to the occurrence of any tissue irritations.
