Chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine have a tropism for joint tissues and cartilages, where they selectively bind to the degraded or injured cartilage, starting the regeneration process of this tissue. The purpose for using glycosaminoglycans is to replace what was lost during the pathological processes (chondral repair) and what was lost during the normal activity of the animal (chondral protection). Another important property is the anti-inflammatory effect noticed after the use of these compounds. The glycosaminoglycans also inhibit the action of lysosomal enzymes (released by leukocytes in the synovial fluid), induce the production of sodium hyaluronate and stimulate the synthesis of collagen. Other physiological effects of chondroitin sulfate are: contribution to ossification and calcification of bones, in addition to maintenance of the elasticity of tendons and ligaments.

INDICATION

Indicated for equidae, cattle, buffaloes, sheep, goats, pigs and ostriches an auxiliary in the treatment of non-infectious arthropathies, such as: arthritis, arthrosis, osteoarthrosis, hydroarthrosis, degenerative arthropathies, coxofemoral dysplasia, spondylosis, ankylosing spondylosis, chondropathies, synovitis; tendineal pathologies, osteodystrophies and chondral dystrophies, post-operation of joint surgeries; coadjuvant in fracture cases, in addition to also acting in the prophylaxis of osteoarticular diseases and chondral protection of animals subjected to great stresses.

MODE OF USE

Injectable use, intramuscularly or subcutaneously.
Equidae, cattle and buffaloes: apply 2 mL for every 100 kg of body weight, to the maximum dose of 10 mL, every 5 or 7 days, with a minimum of 5 applications.
Sheep, goats, pigs and ostriches: apply 0,5 mL for every 10 kg of body weight, to the maximum dose of 5 mL, every 5 or 7 days, with a minimum of 5 applications.
