Algivet® exercises a central analgesic action, produces a notable calming effect on animals, without causing sexual depression. Due to the spasmolytic effect on the smooth muscle, a dilation of the peripheral blood vessels occurs resulting in greater blood flow to the striated muscle, which is physiologically and therapeutically desirable. Algivet® does not exert any unfavorable action on blood circulation, heart, kidneys or any other organ. Its effect is observed after 10-15 minutes, prolonging for some hours. In cases where animals present the pains and uneasiness again, the treatment can be repeated without inconveniences. In cramps, the action of Algivet® consists of the stimulus of the peristaltism, tranquilization and spasmolysis, while its analgesic effect represents a valuable therapeutic support
